Im a bit of a fan of both greyhounds.........but to be honest there are so many more stud options in this country neither will get too many bitches imo.
Both lack the desirable qualities in their racing patterns to compete with the other options out.

Totally agree with you. Like I've said many of times it's a tough gig for a stud dog these days. These days I wouldn't dream of using a stud dog that I believed had his mind on anything else than chasing that rabbit ( or should I say rag ). We have enough non chasers running around now.

The current crop of non chasers are not specific to any one particular stud dog or dam line

100% true.

But the next crop coming through good luck to those who use a stud dog that is a bit suspect.

Over the years most bred for pure speed then we started to bred for stamina.

It won't be very long and it will be pure hard chase. No use having a dog fly around the track if it fights like Mike Tyson he will end up having to many holidays.

93 Starts for 42-19-12 nearly 400k in prize money (could have been closer to 1 mill) someone clearly forgot to let this boy know he is a veteran. Well done to connections....

This dogs trainer has done an amazing job to keep him at this level for so long if he were with a mainstream trainer he would of been lost to,the sport and that's not a knock on them they have a business to run but I love seeing this bloke go around and still win and it's a credit to his connections regardless of his past

I am now thrilled to be able to inform you all that five of my posts on this subject have been deleted on the ground of "Off topic", according to emails just received.

This brings a new meaning to the English language in that all those posts were specifically about Jesaulenko and his career performances. All were factual, not opinion or theory, except that I ventured that he was a very fine talent.

Sad, Tony, very sad.

Bruce this is the 3rd time you have wished to discuss your removed posts in the forum so I feel it's right to reply to you here. The normal procedure is to email [email protected]

Your posts were not the only posts removed in this thread or others that you had posts removed from. What you have written above about your posts being factual is far from the truth according to the many that reported your posts. Greyhound-Data certainly does not have the time or the resources to investigate and research who is right.

You do go off topic and then at the end put in a sentence about what the thread is about. If the bulk of the post is off topic and it is reported it will be removed.

Our moderators are doing a fantastic job and I support them 100%.

If you have any more problems with moderation please email [email protected] as it is only the fact that your above post was reported as off topic that it was seen.

Well done jesaulenko and to all connections involved
To get him to the track in the first place is so much hard work and perseverance and patience, then to accommodate his needs for another 2 1/2 years is another chapter in itself ,a process unfortunately some poeple can't comprehend !
The icing on the cake is the heights he has reached in competing at the highest level there is to offer and still going .....!
Respect to all connected
At a time when our industry is seeking longevity for our greyhounds , Jesaulenko is representing this in spades!
If we could all have one half as good as jesaulenko it would be a dream come true and what all participants aspire to
Hats off !!

Great thread , very great thread !

Win number 24 at Sale alone tonight..... Win number 44 overall. Absolute machine for a veteran.

Are there other dogs that have such a record?

Rich.

His first 3 litters produced just the one pup Hayden, but looking at the history of the first 3, they were a bit "iffy" anyway. Mobility on my straw was terrific and I am very happy with pups on the ground. So I do not see a problem with his fertility at all.

Cheers.
Rich.

Taken from FaceBook post of Terri Morris (Trainer / Owner)

Jesaulenko will retire on Sunday night. He will be having his last start at the track that he loves.(Sale) This beautiful boy will have his 100th and last race and all going well will finish on a high. Stud career to follow. I hope everyone gets to have the amazing ride that I have had. Dreams do come true.

Best of luck to "Scooter" and the Morris family, No doubt it has been a great ride for them all.I wish Jesaulenko well in retirement.
Rich.
