Great to see some breeders going back and using some old sires that most thought were dead and buried to refresh their lines

Nice win by Aston Marquee at The Gardens last night in 29.77 in a maiden

Her brother Aston Milla has also won 2 out of 2 at Horsham

By Elite State x Aston Coco (Kinloch Brae x Where's Pedro bitch)

There is another handy elite state litter coming through that aren't too far off starting.

To answer your question in the heading yes I think it won't be long and people will start using a lot of straws from sires that are 10y.o plus only because there is no doubt that the older sires like solve the puzzle, just the best, surf lorian, el grand senor, magic sprite, go wild teddy, most awesome, brett lee, elite state etc. definitely put more chase into their offspring. Even sires that could go either way like token prince and collision threw more consistently than what's the flavours now.

Even our recent million dollar chase winner has a ticket and was moved on by a big name trainer. Not because of ability but consistent chase.

I hope so Sandro as I purchased a Royal Assassin Straw awhile back and although not a breeder myself I intend to offer it on a pup basis possibly. I think a Magic Sprite or Oaks Road bitch would be perfect, Cheers

I got criticised for offering a Big Daddy Cool Vial on a pup deal just recently. Received comments such as he's well past it, there's much better options out there these days and lol get a Fernando Bale straw. I personally think there's some fantastic Sires from yesteryear that are real quality that provide fantastic value these days. I for one will not hesitate to use these type of Sires. I'll take a dog like Leeroy Rogue any day!

Yes looks good Ryan, I guess I was just thinking of the proven crosses the Bartolo family made famous. Spiral Nikita, Brett Lee and the Leprechaun dam line. Cheers

I haven't got any frozen stored anywhere either and short of fluking a Kinloch brae or premier fantasy straw for sale at a I don't want it anymore price and not a its hard to find now so i'll have a gouge price I won't be buying a straw until a broodie comes on season.

If 200 BDC breeder units were available and breeders used them he would be a leading sire again in no time.

there was a El Grand Senor straw on one of the facebook sale pages the other day asking $6000 because apparently Carolyn Jones (el grands stud master) is keeping all her remaining straws from him. it's not carolyn's fault and you have sympathy for her, but people see a opportunity to have a gouge.

There are a fair few names there that people would be bombarding if they were readily available still. (hindsight is a nice thing)

Was just someone trying what they can get away with. He was $2000 his whole stud career, people won't cop his straws being much more expensive for a long while
