Can't be right as that would equate to 46 straws at $1650 and the limit is 14 a month or 18 a quarter. Appears to be an attempt to continue the hype.

as I said it was in the paper...cant believe everything you read in the paper though I spose but the whelping numbers should tell the tale.

I hope he does well for all connections, as I do with anyone lucky enough to own a stud dog.

and I also hope he runs in the melbourne cup

I agree Tor, I've been able to secure a vial which I'm obviously happy about but would love to see him back on track for the Melbourne Cup and TopGun. I do however, understand Westy not wanting to risk him, really a personal choice for him.

Is he really that good? Personally I think Bekim Bale had more talent (sorry Ryan). I would like him to run a few more races, yes he won a group 1 but I think there are a couple of better Bombastic sons than him

I did balls up this posting. If you're fortunate to have a dog create this much trade, it would be possible to sell 54 straws in a week if required. Then you wouldn't be able to sell any more the rest of the quarter. My apologies to anyone connected to the dog, as I did not want to appear negative to Fabregas. I did report original post as a 'Bad Posting' but because there has been a couple of further postings quoting me, they are unable to remove it. A lesson for all of us to have our facts right before we post.
My bad.

If someone corrected me, I look like a goose. I saw the errors of my ways and corrected it myself. And, probably still look like a goose, anyway. I thought the newspaper story may have got something wrong but they didn't.

Prince Diablo was a much better dog anyway Alex :)

Fabragas is a pup end of story, let the dog bloody race and prove himself.

Mate, I appreciate your opinion but it's nothing to do with comparing dogs. We shouldn't be doing that here. This topic is about the merits of Fabregas and his affect he will have at stud. He is a Bombastic Shiraz and PD is a Premier Fantasy. If I had another Bombastic Shiraz stud dog I would be concerned, but as I don't, I have no worries what so ever.
Fabregas will have hundreds of pups on the ground in 2 years time and they will do the talking for their Sire.

well where do we compare dogs if you cant on a greyhound forum?both dogs were rockets so that cancels that out and ones from a father that might struggle to throw a son at stud like himself and ones from a damline that cant throw a decent stud.you work out which is which.

I think what Alex is saying is pretty clear in each greyhound deserves respect and comparing if this dog is better than that dog is uncalled for!

The integrity seems also quite clear in the fact that Alex has a liking for both greyhounds elements and respecting of the fact that they have the right for their own thread!

I'm sure Alex also see's that rays statement is a little inappropriate and has tastefully refused to involve himself with such statements sharmaine!

Remeber sometimes the agendas of others do not always display the beleifs of another, the beauty of negatiting the pitfalls of forums!

Renegade Chief is better than both of them in my opinion.

He is a super dog.

I can't believe that the boom on Renegade Chief isn't quite matching that of Fabregas. They both have had very similar starts to their race careers. If he gets a start in the Top Gun (which in my opinion he is worthy) he will be hard to beat and then the Melbourne Cup could be a chance too. If he wins one of them he SHOULD assure himself a very busy time at stud over the coming years.

I would not hesitate to use either of them.
