Hi matt I haven't had any experience like that with the Fabregas pups I've had they are all born with fire in their bellies and are born to chase and at break in they did everything perfect not like you have described I'm going back to Fabregas as they are natural chasers

Every litter I have seen by Fabregas which is probably over half a dozen, including one I was involved in the breeding of, have had plenty of fire and to my knowledge all have broken in easily showing plenty of chase
There would be exceptions for sure, but as a general rule I like them as types because they seem to be natural chasers

Same for me, the Fabregas litter my girl threw were better chasers and had more ability than her other three litters. She's going back there for her last litter when she comes on and her half sister will probably go to him too.

I meant as an overall litter mate. Decanus v Privacy two out would have been fun to watch.....for me at least. :-)

wldn't have been much fun for privacy ;)
if the penny had've dropped in Decanus head, he wld've been in the top five dogs in Vic at that time.

He did have a big motor alright. Some of his runs were awesome but just not switched on regularly.
Shame the FOL wasn't around then ;-)
I know it's usage as a training tool, done properly, has recently helped a dog during a recent big race series.

The FOL might have been the absolute making of him alas it wasn't to be. Decanus probably the quickest (29.27 Sandown without trying all the way!) but no doubt the Fabregas litter had more depth with Privacy, Fab Harriet plus two dogs that were Privacy class or only a couple of lengths behind that got hurt, one in the pen after a 10-12 length Albion Park trial win and the other smashed a foot I understand. I suppose the fact I'm going back to him for her final litter is an indication of my thoughts on him as a sire.

Didn't get to see the race Luke as I was on the way home from Albion Park but sounded impressive...
Was talking to Tony Apap last nite to get his opinion on a sire for a Surf Lorian bitch and he recommended a son of BS or an outcross.
Fabregas fits the bill and would produce something with a couple of nicks similar to Dundee Osprey.......decision made I think.
