well done only actually knew of one the one peter discovered (so well done peter too) only knew of that one because it was trained for a while by a terrific trainer that was attached to our local track at the time (clapton)

Thank you Joe for your answer, it was not Westmead Hawk, but there is a Westmead connection. The answer was Myrtown, the dog was so badly injured during the final of 1974 Pall Mall it was fesred he would not run again so well was he looked after that he reached that years English Derby final as well as the Irish Derby final finishing third behind Lively Band, twelve months later he again reached the 1975 English Derby final starting 10-11F. during his injury lay off the connections of Myrtown were approached Nick Savva, who liked his bloodlines, a mating was arranged between Myrtown and Westmead Silver a litter sister to Westmead County, The up shot was that twelve months after Myrtown making last English Derby final appearence his twenty three month daughter made the 1976 English Derby, making the youngest bitch to ever reach the Derby final. Another member of this litter was Westmead City the dam of Manorville Sand, sorry if this was long winded
