wal, i have never mentioned surname.Pls read the earlier posts and look at the examples given. It is the 1st initial of the christian name (J scott, J smith the J is the common factor) that i believe is drawing dogs side by side. Regarding same trainers, it is the 1 st initial being the same, not the surname.

The thing is I rang up some years ago after getting 5 box 6's in a row at Wenty- I spoke to Greg Hore who was the head grader at the time. The way he explained it to me was that the dogs drawn in the race are entered alphabetically - the computer programme then randomly rearranges the names - it also then randomly rearranges numbers 1 to 8 the way I understand it, for the whole progamme - these 2 lists are then brought together and that is the draw for that race. So for what you think happens the computer would have to "look" to see where the numbers have been scattered and somehow match up the first initial so as to give them adjacent boxes. And IF it does this - why does it do it just some of the time and not always?

Dino , the bottom line is that it IS audited annually by a maths professor - I'm sure you can get his name if you ask- but if he says that the programme is OK I suspect his knowledge of such things outweighs anyone of us here.

Wal, to understand how software works, you need to have worked in the industry. It can throw up some "very strange" happenings. EG: bugs in PCS, phones, car electronics etc. When software is 1st put out on the market, it has been factory tested and tested, but bugs still show up after the release, and are fixed as they become apparent. The oz draw software could have( i believe has) a bug and unless specifically looked for will not be evident in the audit/test, just like other software that is released into the market.

I totally agree Tom, this software would have had no previous history in declaring fields. And even a review after so many meets, would have found this pattern emerging. But in their wisdom have done nothing. This maths professor doing these audits could not find this pattern happening only if was not told it was happening,a history of saved fields, or is vision impaired. Coz the the average person can see it happening.View Angle Park Thursday 2nd April Races 3,4 & 11 for the obvious example. It should ring some sort of bell to some-one to confront OZCHASE about similar things occurring in the future but saga continues. More than once in a meet should attract some attention, some of these results could easily be deemed as race rigged to the average person. This NO MEMORY in software policy OZCHASE have sold to states, leaks profusely

Ted - please explain - I looked at Launceston meeting 30/3 nothing unusual there?!
Tom/ Dino - I spoke to a grader today and was told that the greyhounds racing name only is fed in for the box draw- and not the trainers name as well - this would indicate that any grouping of trainer name is pure chance.

Wal a bug in the software can relate to the trainer if his name is anywhere in the PC connected to the dog.

also when GRNSW responded to my concerns in an email, they did NOT state that "trainers names were not input!"

wal look at launcester 6/4/2015, race 1 and then rest of meet

My old girl zoe knows has had 30 starts mostly at capalaba and has drawn box6 10 times and box8 another 7 times fortunately the straight track finds out the best from the worst dogs(unfortunately she falls in that worst catagory) but the fact 17 of her 30 starts have been from 2 boxes is unreal!

looking at wagga, in 8 races where the same christian name 1st letter doubles in a race, out of 8 races, 5 are drawn together,at richmond, in 8 races with the same initial , 4 are drawn together. It should be mathmatically out of 8, 2 should be drawn together. it is running at more than double a random draw should be.

Wal, I saw the results from his last audit where he completed 100 draws and and found no irregularity. We are not einsteins and can see there is. Bottom line is you have to made aware of things that are happening to look for them, maybe the box no. ratio may be within the tolerance. but the fact owner & trainer names figure so predominantly he is'nt looking at that or are they just made up greyhound names that he is imputing in the AUDIT we need to know how it is conducted and the results published with the names used with the combination of boxes allocated over those 100 draws and trainer names entered to get a conclusion for everyone to draw from.Otherwise it's just tell em what we (OZCHASE) want to tell em, with extracts from the AUDIT. This name thing is happening all over Australia too often.

Well ive since drawn box3 (GRNSW version of the 1 for me) and the 5 box. Gee there so legit to me!!!!
Mitchell Tubinas wrote:

Its amazing how unlucky my boxes are every week considering someone at GRNSW has it in for me. Ive never ever been given a fair go infact always draw boxes that ruin pups early in there career.
Yet funnily enough when my old girl was past her best by a long shot and they knew considering i was going trialing with one of there partners and they rang them trying to fill noms and i said 2 weeks in a row i would nom mine to do a favour i drew the 1, 2 weeks in a row in completely outclassed fields. Whole thing is completely corrupt and if they wanted to prove otherwise it would be like a live lotto draw. Grow up GRNSW.
I wouldnt be so annoyed but I spend all my hard earned not inherited money and all my time with no help whatsoever and for each week to see this pathetic box draw. I may as well donate half my pay to GRNSW each week as there the ones costing me.
Not to mention a litter of pups that are gonna look pathetic to potential buyers when there old enough thanks to them.
Ive bit my tongue long enough and still drawn 4,5 the last 4 times ive nommed.
Ive had enough!

i just looked at bulli, rich and gos and checked where the initial is doubled in races. The double initial occurred 43 times. 19 were drawn side by side, and 24 drawn apart. Statistically/randomly, ~11 should have been drawn side by side, not 19 which is nearly double.

Mitchell, I do know where you're coming from to raise pups then to be rapt that they make the grade then screwed over by a system that no one in their right mind would use in a pub raffle. And young pups careers are being getting hammered, confidence shattered.

Mate I lost the fastest dog ive had my hands on randomly 3rd start from a shit box. Had the mother of this pup GOTTEN TO and was trying to get her confidence and health bach. First time she draws 1 approx 30th start when she was in Adelaide with ANOTHER trainer. Got the 5 400m Richmond wednesday. The dilemma. Risk injury and the dog not trying at all early or sidelines for another 10 days only to draw 5 again. 4 corners should do a second investigation into the corruption in the running of the authorities. Its not legit. It never was. As long as there is PARTNERS AND FAMILIES OF LICENCED TRAINERS working for the authorities how much can you trust that its fair?
Im over it and I won't cop much more.

Mitchell You've hit the nail on the head mate, they set rules and codes of conduct for us. And for us to be careful what we write or risk suspensions and bans for bringing INDUSTRY into dis-repute. But authorities rules such as conflicts of interest, are ignored. There are stories we all could tell, make waves and your on their witch hunt. GRV got cleaned out, over the baiting saga. I see the 2 other states did'nt fold. It happened under their noses too. Each state bodies should be turned over like GOVERNMENTS to keep them honest, they are in their comfort zones.I suppose LOBBY to an independent or pollie who throws weight. Years ago here we had tough, hard nose CEO's and STEWARDS but they were well respected. different story now

i do not believe the box draws are corrupt/rigged. I believe that the software has a bug that has not been looked for/identified in past audits.

mitchell, go thru all your box draws for the last yr and list them on here. I would think you will be surprised that it is not as bad as you think it is.
