I just have to write that tomorrow's Wauchope Cup Meeting (4/1/20) is one of the best I've seen for awhile on the MNC with another big meeting on 11/1/20. Well done to the clubs involved in programming the carnival.

Wauchope is one of only two, One Turn `Grass' Tracks left in NSW and it hasn't frightened anyone away. After all, with all things being equal grass is suppose to be the best surface to race on.

I just heard along the grapevine that in yesterday's TDT it indicated by way of announcement that Wauchope received TAB status for greyhound racing on the MNC. Can anyone else confirm it ?

If it is, it's the best news I've heard in eighteen months!

Does that mean Taree is no longer the TAB track in the region?

Boys " Why Not " They together serve a very large area, which stretches from the lower Hunter /Min North Coast up towards Grafton ,and trainers bring dogs across, from over the ranges ?? Two many meets in the Newcastle area, with lessor suitable tracks ?? Bob Glover

I agree it would be great to see, that is whats needed for that area for sure however the chiefs say a lot and do nothing where is Goulburn and grafton the new straight track all they have done is splashed a few dollars at broken down old tracks. It is hard to believe anything they say, anyway I hope it works out good for all you good people up that way, as long as it does not cost to much grnsw will be happy and then you will be half a chance.

Sandro maybe the gbota could put there hand in there pocket and pull out a million or 2 of the money they got from the sale of lidcombe then approach grnsw with a idea to race there.Lets face it grnsw will not do anything and gbota are better spending there money on something before it all goes .

100% of the infrastructure already exists....the lure system needed to be upgraded last time I spoke to a GBOTA committeeman.

Not sure what the issue is with the grandstand but could be demolished and a smaller modern version with dual viewing lounges could be built with a two turn track behind it, subject to land fill etc

Then put in a great picnic area with BBQ facilities out the front for Sunday meetings where families could go out to enjoy themselves

There is even enough land to put in a small GAP facility which could be rented to them.

Some of their own money and a bit of infrastructure funding from Government could make it happen

Yes as we all know most of what is needed ,already exit's at Appin, ut the thought of the almighty dollar looking in the face for GBOTA, is the stumbling block. For what GRNSW has been throwing about in prize money, with little return ,I have been saying all along,? The heads should looking for two blocks ,one North /one South , move a little further out of Appin Campbeltown there are areas still available , look exactly what the red hots did; In the North no one has to go too far from Wyong towards Wyee/ Cooranbong , these areas are central for many more participants than people realize ?? Two straights would grow again to what we lost , and would give space for more at the same time ?? And within travelling for a lot ,. Bob Glover P S the freeways are there also,

Wauchope announced on local news to be another tab track with Taree on the North Coast. Wish both were 5yrs ago when the game was thriving & before I hung up the lead. Backbone of the industry = country

Never. Id be soon divorced. Anyway Ive handed in my circus membership. Got sick of the dictators who wouldnt know which end to put the shovel forcing rules down my throat that affected the welfare of my dogs & treated us all as criminals. Guilty until proven innocent
