Race Entries

All entries are required by 5:30pm on Tuesdays to be considered for weekend racing

Race entries can be phoned in on 02890610070 Option 2. Please leave a message with race entry distance and seeding. Due to the high number of entries currently being received racing cannot be guaranteed on the week of entry. Owners and trainers especially with Novice race entries are advised to enter several weeks in advance in order to minimize the chances of having to re-qualify as novice races may not be run on any particular week.

Sunday Racing

As a pilot we will hold a Sunday Afternoon Race meeting on Sunday 29th September First Race 3 pm (Weigh in 2pm to 2:30, If we receive enough entries this will hopefully become a regular feature. For this initial meeting only the downstairs area and terrace will be operational. Full tote betting and bookmaker betting will be available but due to current licencing Restrictions we are unable to sell alcoholic Drinks during Sunday meetings . Soft Drinks Teas coffees etc will be available as will food from the Street food bar which will be serving a range of options. Should these meetings prove popular we will move to opening up the full stadium including Restaurant area for Sunday Lunches.

Owners and Trainers Please note that following recent meetings between the DTSC and Management of the Stadium it was felt that in order to try and facilitate owners and trainers getting races for their dogs that it was important that the Stadium staged an additional meeting to meet demand.

The DTSC also understood that the Stadium is striving to get on a sound footing following an extremely challenging year, therefore in order to make a second meeting sustainable it was agreed with the DTSC committee to forgo Third Place prize- money for Graded racing in an attempt to offset some of the costs.

Owners and Trainers should always be mindful that Racing in Northern Ireland receives no Grant or Government Support and that all monies must be generated through the Business. In order to try and keep greyhound Racing alive in Northern Ireland this decision has been made.

We Trust you appreciate the hard decisions that have to be made to try and secure the future of our sport in Northern Ireland in Challenging times for the entire Industry
