The Gardens "All Weather Track" has failed again, both Friday and Saturday meetings cancelled, due to unsafe surface. Does this mean that every heavy downpour will decide the fate of this track in future.

Hi Ron.
Due to the stupid breeding rules that were forced upon us back in Sept 2015, track closures across the country, especially in NSW are inevitable.
This is one way of closing a track on the sly.
What's the count of race meetings OPEN at the Gardens & race meetings CLOSED there, since this fiasco started.

The biggest worry is, that in the future Wentworth Park, Maitland, and Bulli racing surfaces are due to be ripped up by the orders of these so called experts. One could only guess, that the many cancellations are deliberate by the looks of things. Experience abounds about track maintenance, but this is continually ignored. But as I've said before, we might have won the fight, but we wont last long enough to enjoy it!

Trialled there tonight. The track staff worked their butts off to shovel the best sand from the gutter back on to the track.Well done. Apparently 100 ton of bungandore sand turning up this week. Could this be the exit of the idea of using decomposed sandstone?
