Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed Heat Affected. The outside temperature when kennels opened was 27.0 degrees. The kennel temperature was 18.7 degrees. The kennel temperature at close of kennels was 20.1 degrees.

Prior to this event the outside temperature was 25 degrees and the inside kennel temperature was 20.5 degrees.

A pre-race sample was taken from Akina Archer.

Acting in accordance with the GRV Lightning and Thunderstorm Safety Procedure, racing was suspended at around 7.40pm due to several and continuous lightning strikes within the designated safety zone around the Sale venue. Due the saftey concerns held for both greyhounds and persons alike as contained in the procedure and the ongoing nature of the storm activity that endured well after the abandonment time, the meeting was abandoned at 8.20pm.
